I need help if there is anyone else who has this experience as me. I conceived my 1st child fine with normal delivery and baby was healthy. Prior to pregnancy, my monthly cycle came every 26-27 days. I breastfed or pumped milk for a year and was proud of myself. My period returned at 5 months postpartum. For a few months after returning, my cycles were every 27 days, then it dropped to 26, then 25 days. Now my cycles are every 23 or 24 days. I told my doctor, both my doctor and gyno and they said as long as cycles are between 21-31 days, it's not to worry about. I do take Synthroid for low thyroid levels though sometimes I forget to take it first thing in the morning.
My cycle past few months, it was 23 days and only 4 days of real bleeding (red) which worries me. The first two days were medium sized spotting followed by 2 heavy days. Then it suddenly ends with some very light brown spotting. This isn't my usual period. My normal period is 5-6 days and consists of spotting or light bleeding first day, then 2 days of heavy, followed by moderate bleeding for two days, then finally light to none, so 6 days total.
Has anyone had this experience and if yes, what have you done? I am considering going to a fertility specialist or endocrinologist and having them test me to make sure I am still OK with hormones and such, but I don't know where to begin asking them. Any advice is appreciated for those who have gone through such routes already! thanks in advance.
