Lovely breastfeeding ladies - I need more help!!

Went for my 6 week check this afternoon and said that I think thrush is coming back and could I get more treatment including fluconazole - which I got thankfully but one big dose instead of days of treatment. I was also diagnosed with mastitis in my left boob and so was given flucloxacillin. LO had tongue tie snipped this morning which was another thing!
I just feel so down at the moment and that everything is against us.

Also, not sure what to do now in terms of pills as surely the thrush treatment isnt going to work with antibiotics? Should I take mastitis treatment first and then the antifungal treatment? Am also taking acidipholis (sp?) and using daktarin.

Doctor also said that when taking fluconazole it isnt recommended that you breastfeed?

I cannot help with anything else but fluconazole is perfectly safe when BF, in some cases babies themselves need the internal fluconazole treatment (and it is licenced for this) and they would be getting a far higher dose directly than via mums milk

I think with multiple drugs being taken the best people to call on are the experts and Thomas Hale is that

Infant risk center

They have the most up to date info on drugs and breastfeeding and taking multiple etc.

I don't personally think one big dose for thrush will work, you need to keep antifungal levels high in your bloodstream constantly for multiple days until it is gone and for longer - at least one week after symptoms have gone. Similar for mastitis, should be at least 7-10 days treatment to make sure it's all gone from the body.
