I am nearly 17 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I've been feeling this little one since about 14 weeks. I feel like I haven't really felt baby move much in the last few days. I'm trying to get time to sit quietly and wait but with a toddler that's nearly impossible.

Please tell me I'm crazy. I'm sure everything is ok, right? I have my next doctor's appt coming up on Tuesday and I'm so scared not to hear the heart beat with the doppler. Maybe it's just nerves because of the appt that's making me so paranoid.

I'm sure everything is fine, I never felt anything until a lot further on, but babies change position and do have quieter times. My more active twin had a quiet day or two the other week that made me worry a bit,and then he burst into kicks and not stopped since. I would look for the heartbeat with your doppler and that will make you feel loads better XXXX

Thank you :)

I don't have a doppler. I figured that it would cause more stress than it relieved. Haha! My doctor will check with the doppler when I go on Tuesday.

I did feel a little wiggle shortly after I posted this. After 2 mc it is so hard not to worry. Also, I barely have time to think about being pregnant so that also makes me worry because I don't "feel" pregnant.

I imagine worry does come a lot easier after a mc, but at 17 weeks your chances of this happening are very low. I am sure you doctor will reassure you when you go XXXX

My LO is exactly like that. Seriously, two days ago he was moving CONSTANTLY and now for the last few days hardly anything. He's been doing this on and off for weeks!

You're still early to feel regular kicks and baby likes to change positions so you can't feel them. I wouldn't worry, honestly. At least your appointment isn't far away :)

I'm 20 weeks and even my doctor was surprised I felt him so much a few days ago because again, we're still early and have another half of pregnancy to feel those jabs ;)

Thank you ladies :hugs:

This baby! I just don't know. Always making me worry! Haha!

I'm pretty sure she (he?) is probably turned in. My belly seems a little smaller than it has been.

I hope I get my appt for my 20 week scan soon. That should help relieve some stress too. Well, not leading up to it, but after. Haha!

It's hard to tell that early on.
My midwife told me that because I've felt baby regularly since 18-20 weeks, and I'm now 25 weeks, any lack of movement I can get monitored.

Usually you start kick counting from 28 weeks but she's happy that I've felt him and his patterns for weeks on end now. So I know what's unusual.

Before 18 weeks it was very un patterned. Apparently during growth spurts they can sleep more.

I would still maybe mention it if you're worried as midwife may be able to check the heartbeat and everything else for you, and if she's worried, she'll insist you go get monitored. Then at least you have peace of mind.

They say have a cold drink/something to eat, lay on your left side for two hours if you feel there is lack of movement. I personally find baby moves more then I'm half sat up/lay down in bed and I'm on my back. That's just me personally. But try the left out if your usual position doesn't work.

I hope little one wakes up and gives you a few good reassurance nudges soon :)

Xxx

I've rented a doppler to ease my mind. When ever I feel weird I just listen for the heartbeat and I instantly feel better I'm 16 weeks 3 days

This happened to me once I hit 17 weeks as well, I started to worry but knew that they wouldn't do anything if I went to the ER because of how early it was. I did get a scan at 18 weeks from my MIL and baby was fine and moving a ton, the tech said she was the most active baby she had seen in a while. She is still having quiet days and not moving as much as she was around 16 weeks but I feel her in there a few times a day, Baby's can turn so you can't feel them kicking they also will find hiding spots or its possible your LO is going through a growth spurt and is sleeping more. :) I'm sure you're fine.

Thanks for all your support ladies. Unfortunately my story doesn't have a happy ending.

oh no, did you go to the ER? I'm sorry if I'm being nosy :(

Yes, er. I had a little spotting last night so went in this morning. Confirmed mmc, baby stopped growing 14 and a half weeks. I don't know what I was feeling to think it was baby :(
