POD meaning on pelvic ultrasound?!?

does any1 know what POD on a pelvic ultrasound stands for???
i think it may mean POUCH OF DOUGLAS. but im not 100% sure...

Yes it stands for pouch of Douglas

In a pelvic ultrasound, would the gestational sac be shown in the Pouch of Douglas ultrasound image??? In the first trimester??

No the pod is behind the uterus. The sac would be seen in the uterus and on ultrasound they usually look to see if there us any fluid in the pod.
