pointless thread really, names people use for their babies/children

I call Poppy Princess all the time - i think it's cute, she is my little princess! I also call her Mumble (because she loves dancing and is my little happy feet!) or Monkey Bum.

My friend who's hubby is also in the army calls her little boy her little soldier and i think that is cute too...perhaps i'm just odd

i call alex Cheebie

from the kids programme waybuloo's

A little boy at my mums school was given this nickname when he was born by his brother who couldn't pronounce his real name (Which I've forgotton). This nickname was Buzz - from Buzz lightyear. It stuck that much that this is what he is now called all the time and "Buzz" is on his school attendance records!

I've started calling mine 'Potato' 'Hot Potato' or 'Hot Pot' and I could not tell you why...

Seriously once baby is here, you will rarely call them by their real names! We have an array of names.. None of which relate to his name! Haha!

My dd is my little pumpkin. I even made a song up for her titled, The my little pumpkin song ahaha!

And DS is a little monkey or I say to him Mummies boy and he giggles. xxx

I can't stand when ppl call their kids "buggars" or anything derogatory. And I hate on FB when ppl get frustrated with their kid and say something like, "Anyone want a free 2 year old?"

I agree! I aldo hate those little t shirts they say things like 'Look out, I'm trouble' i think they are horrible!

So far baby Isaac gets called Zac or Zacky but I'm sure we'll cone up with funny names once he's here :). I was called punko when I was little, short for pumpkin lol what the?

Carmen is my Little Bunny (or Bun, Buns, Bun-Bun, Bunners, etc.) :)

i call my son little man, benni boo (his names ben) and bubba and my daughter also gets bubba now and then but she is a bit older( she's 6) and lottie dot is a regular at the moment. you will probably end up giving your little one a little name that suits him/her and its nice to have pets names. i have to agree tho tnhat little soldier and prince/princess are a bit sickening lol.

Erin is called Beeba but you have to say it like Eeeva in Wall-E!

I sometimes call my DD a little chicken and she says to me " I AM NOT A LITTLE CHICKEN, I AM A BIG GIRL!!" tickles me :)

I too hate them t-shirts "I am a little monster" And they only ever seem to be on boys t-shirts. Why do they not think girls ever are lmao? xxx

We call Amelia 'Amelia moo' and it stuck and it often gets shortened to 'Moo'
I'm sure people think we are terrible when we call her moo in public but it is just a little nickname:blush:

At the moment bump gets called little man by me because he is my little man!

xXx

Our sons nn when he was little was called Pinny (right up till he was about 10 and he asked us to stop!!!) it was because when he was little he didn't cry he winged (he was very small 4 llb don't know if this had anything to do with it! he certainly got the hang of it as he got bigger).

My neighbours son who was 4 at the time started calling him Wingey Pingey and somehow it got turned into Pinny.

I don't like little devils or little bu***** but other names are sweet, I think its like real names everyone has different opinons on the same name.

I call my bump madam, missus or chicken... And occasionally 'Rocky' when she kicks too hard.

I don't like princess, especially on clothes or bedding. Same with those babygrows saying things like 'I'm so cute!' Just creeps me out a little... Having said that, farm animals kind of creep me out on baby clothes as well and I have no idea why so guess I'm just a bit weird...

I call mine "teeny tiny" - too many hours of In the Night Garden! Teeny tiny pontipines!
Our most favourite and the one we use the most though is "Charlie bear"

I love the gilmore girls and lorelai always calls rory "loinfruit!" lol

Well, my LO is trouble lol. He's a little monkey who enjoys getting told off lol so he is called monster, trouble and troublemaker.
Weirdly he is also called my little angel and sweety pop lol...i guess i'm not very consistant.
His main name atm is Tommy Tornado as that is what the house looks like as he passes each spot. Other names include munchkin, much, sweetheart, sugar, sugar plum, naughty boy, cheeky, cheeky bum, tickle bum, honey, and sugar lump (because he's sweet but he weighs a ton)

:D
