has anyone else suffered this? i was told i have polycystic ovaries but not the condition as i don't have any of the symptoms, oh and i have been trying for while now!

i came off bcp in january 2011 and ntnp til september 2011 when we started trying and still no bfp!

any success stories or advice?

Hi Laura,

I'm sort of the same, normal ovulation and regular periods but still no bfp! Have you been to see a doctor yet? I had my first appointment in September but so far nothing has worked for me : (

yeah i went docs last year, they took blood on cd21 to check ovulation had occurred which it had, it came back LH was higher than FSH so i was sent for a scan to check for PCOS, turns out i have polycystic ovaries but they can't class it has PCOS as i don't have any of the symptoms. My question is though, on day 21 shouldn't LH be higher than FSH as you've just ovulated and its the LH level rise that opk test for? so surely it should be higher and not 1:1 on cd21?

do you have PCOS or your polycystic ovaries?
what did your docs say?

Hi there,

Yes I am in the exact same situation - I have polycystic ovaries but do not have any of the other symptoms that define PCOS.

I haven't any success stories I am afraid. We also have some male factor issues but nothing that would totally prevent conception however we have now been referred to our PCT for IVF funding and are awaiting to hear the outcome.

heyy, ive never even had a bfp  my current cycle is the first one that is crazy, currently on cd18 and i had +opk yesterday but no temp rise yet (i usually ovulate cd15) i don't feel like i do around ovulation, i am exhausted, appetite has increased and i'm bloating. my last period was light and shorted than usual. i have no idea what is going on.

im still in my twenties so i don't feel ready to venture into IVF just yet, (possibly i don't want to admit theres a problem) OH doesn't want medical intervention just yet either!

Sortof same boat. Tons of cysts, not diagnosed as PCOS though, normal length cycles, ovulate regularly, etc. seem to have a bit of short LP and low progesterone, HSG revealed both tubes clear....6 years TTC and never seen a BFP.

During those 6 years I was with several men, my ex for 3 and when we split, a very super fertile dude for about a year, and now my current husband. My ex had a baby less than a year after our divorce, and the boyfriend had 11+ kids, my husband has 1 previous son too, so despite his SA coming back with low motility I know that wasn't the problem for the other 4 years and the doc says we can work with it.
Problem is, I'm already running out of money from the tests and we haven't started any actual TREATMENT yet!!

its so sad isnt it! surely its our turn soon?!

OneKnight - Awwwww I really hope you do see a BFP very very veryyyy soon. I know it sucks having to wait and the worst is not knowing when it will happen. I too have PCOS but my ovulation and periods are a proper mess! there is no timetable for my body. Iv been trying over 5 years and I just dream of seeing a BFP - I hope all us ladies do have a baby. Only those who are struggle to conceive know the pain within.

Hi, I did so so so many tests with fertility specialists. All my blood work was perfect but I had many cysts (still do) and was classified as pco. Not pcos although I feel like I had some acne and couple lbs gained after going off pill so maybe pcos but drs said no just pco. My cycles were 50-90 days long. Frustrating. They put me on metformin to assist ovarian function and 2-3 months later they were going to start me on clomid but fortunately 5 days on met I ovulated and am due in feb. ask lots of questions, see specialists if you can they give you lots of hope things will work. Good luck ladies

Hi ladies, I have had 2 mc as you can tell from the signature and the doctor suspected PCO or PCOS but never did formal testing for them as we were ntnp, I was worried that when we really started to try that we would have to do clomid or something. I did take a few months to temp to see if I was O and I was according to FF, LP was fine and the cycles were 32-36 days long, the issue I also had was I was spotting before AF started for 4 days before showing low signs of progesterone I read. With doing a lot of research and knowing we were hitting the fertility window I still wasn't getting pregnant like you would expect.

The only thing I did was switch to organic milk as there are a lot of extra hormones in regular milk that throws our bodies off, also I started taking a B-Complex vitamin which helps with fertility issues and helps to regulate hormones, after switching these 2 things I stoped spotting before AF and shortly there after fell pregnant (4mths roughly) once I found out I was pregnant I started on progesterone cream you can get from Amazon just as a little help and did this through the 12 weeks.

Baby is happy and healthy so far, we have had a scan at 6,8,12,17 weeks and baby is kicking and moving like crazy. Just wanted to share what helped me I feel and might help someone else in need.
