Positive OPK at 13 dpo??

Good morning! So I accidentally grabbed an OPK this morning instead of an HPT and it came back with a pretty strong positive....I’m 13 dpo today (confirmed via BBT and OPK’s) and AF is due today. I also took an HPT that looks negative to me. Just wondering what would cause a positive OPK at this point in my cycle? Is this common right before AF shows?? TTC for 6 months now, but still trying to figure it all out lol Thanks in advance!!

You can get a positive opk right before AF shows, yes.

I too just read something about that like previous poster stated. You can have an LH surge before period just because of hormones but it doesn't mean you are about to ovulate and you can have one before AF because you are pregnant. You will find out which it is for you soon I am sure. Good luck and sticky baby dust!

So it's not a second surge? I have 3 more days until AF and out curiosity I've been taking OPK's today's OPK was close to a positive. BUT what confuses me is that I had a positive OPK for 6 days on the 7th.

Just putting this out there. I got faint bfp on frer on 9dpo. Super faint bfp on IC at 10 dpo. I did opks at 9 and 11 dpo they were negative. I finally got positive opk at 13dpo, 4 days after my first bfp.

Conclusion: you will get hpt bfp before opk bfp.
