Positive OPK on day of expected AF

So, ladies...I've been having these little cramps for the past 2 weeks like I'm about to get my period. Today is when I expected dear AF but nothing! Just some CM. I don't have any HPT's on hand so, just for shiggles, I took an OPK. It's positive. I know the story...LH and HcG, I know, I KNOW! But I'm afraid to hope...care to weigh in?

Go buy a hpt...its the only way to know. Good luck xxx

From what I read you shouldn't use opks as a hpt as it can give you a false positive, but there is a good chance that if you got a positive on your opk that it could give you a positive hpt...but its not gaurenteed as opks look for an lh surge while hpts look for hcg, so you definitely need to test with a hpt. x

I *think* I'm 10 dpo and have been getting increasingly dark OPKs but bfn HPT.

Be interesting to see what happens with us both!

So apparently I really was ovulating late! I o'd on the 3rd and don't expect my REAL AF until mid July c: DH and I BD'd the day before O and then on the day of O, so I'm taking a FRER on Thursday, 8dpo. I know that's pretty early, but we'll see! Sorry the update is so late.
