positive opk then negative, did i Ovulate alrdy?

So i know it's probably been ask zillions of times, but when ur opk goes negative does it mean u O already or u still can be in the process, If the follicle releases the lh to expel the egg does it mean when it's gone the egg is out?
Just another crazy lady fixing to be in the tww lol.

When your opk goes negative, it just means your surge is over. It doesnt mean you ovulated already.. but I guess it could mean you might still be in the process. It is hard to tell since they only measure when you body is surging.. which ultimately is what makes you ovulate.. but that doesnt mean you necessarily do. I have had several DARK opks and I havent ovulated in over three months. HOWEVER I think they are pretty accurate way for most women to tell if they ovulated. I am just REALLY unlucky.

Thanks for replying, I hope u get ur BFP too, i'm also ttc #1 and know how frustrating it can be. I'm pretty sure i Ov but after 7 months it starts to get frustrating. I have no health issues and always been healthy, barely get sick and nothing yet.
Have u tried taking anything or are Drs helping u? Maybe the opks aren't sensitive enough for u, have u tried temping, i know its one the most accurate way to tell if u O. Fx for u

I have tried temping but I just cant catch the hang of it and it doesnt work for me.

Yeah, I just took provera to get af and stopped taking that two days ago. As soon as AF shows, I am starting clomid cd3-7 50mg and gonna see if that works. If it doesnt then up to 100 and so on.

The OPKS work, when i get a positive is is BLAZING. My body really tries hard to ovulate I think and just doesnt make it. I think the clomid will really help me out.

It's very true that you can have a surge and not ovulate, it happens to be all the time but I'm hoping now that I'm back on Clomid that isn't the case. They say you ov 1-3 days after the surge and that can last 1-5 days.
