I'm planning on baby led weaning soon, he has great hand coordination, can nearly sit unaided and sits great in a high chair and has already tried cucumber and avocado (took that out my hand lol) but just as one off as he got a tummy bug and has been poorly, plus I don't mind waiting a few extra weeks.
Anyway, if I did feed him a puree, say my mum or mil buys him one (is likely!) because he'll be eating normal food, could he go straight onto one with lumps in, or would it have to be smooth? I'd pre load the spoon and let him go at that way
I'm hoping he'll take to it like a star, I reckon my mil (who is lovely) would have never seen anything like and might come around to the idea more!
