Post at my address - think its fraud but don't know what to do

Right we moved into our home last year.. For ages (like still today) we keep getting post from the previous occupants.. It's as if they just never bothered changing their address we are forever sending post back as return to sender.. Anyway coz we still get their post often (including bank statements) I know their names. After a few months of living their another name randomly appeared.. Random letter.. We were like right ok and just sent it back.. But his name appears every so often.. And sometimes new names.. The first alarm cell went off wen a random name dropped through.. It had no return address at the back and you could kinda make out the letter through the window.. It was thanking this person for his recent enquiry into storage.. Now this confused me as we had been living here for a few months.. I sent it back though. We have had a housing benefit/council tax letter come through in a name.. This was only triggered because we appealed our council tax band (sent the same as our new notice was) we rang the council who told us just to send it back as unknown and they will look into it. A couple of weeks ago two letter appeared from what we could see through the window is a garage of some sort. Again if it was previous owners why are these random letters turning up? We see similar names but they do keep changing. Over the weekend a letter from a debt collection agency. So I found out who it was ( looking through the window) I e mailed them telling them their information is wrong and will be sending them back but it really is starting to worry me. When we moved in I sorted out the electral role for us and I checked today and it is correct. I'm checking my credit history but nothing has come through that I am aware of, of anything official (like a loan from a bank etc) it's jus little things. I've tried doing some research online but have had no luck. Anyone have any ideas/experience I'm a little worried for obvious reasons but just don't know what to do.
Ps I have never opened any of the letters

wouldn't worry about it too much, Weve lived here for over a year and still get our landlady's mortgage statements!

You have their name, not the other way around...They would need a hell of a lot more details about you to actually get anything against you fraudulently. Just keep sending em back! (or bin em, like we do!)

I get post to my house, even baliaffs due to the previous tennant and they cant do anything

We usually get debt letters come through in random names... i also put return to sender and then they come back again a few months later... i wouldnt worry too much as it seems that no one else knows your personal details apart from the addresses being mixed up.

We still get letters too, mostly the same 2 people but sometimes other random names pop up. We just bin them. x

We still get letters for 2 other people how hard is it to change your address. I wouldn't worry too much, just keep sending them back.

I wouldn't worry about it we bought our house 6 years ago and still get pervious owners morgate statements for his rental houses his savings detail letters telling him he owes money ect. I just return them all. With not at the address written on them. X

Make sure you cross through the address otherwise they take no notice,just scribble it over and write RTS on it.xx

If your still worried you can check your experian record and will show anything linked to you. If its in someone else's name should be ok though.

As long as it's not your name on the letter you'll be fine. In our old house we used to get letters addressed to the previous owner of the house and he even came round to collect them rather than changing his address so we knew something was going on. One night the police turned up at the house asking for him saying that they'd sent him letters. We said he didn't live here and told them the date we moved in, and we never heard from the police again. Just return the letters to sender and write on it 'not known at this address'.

I get piles of post here.
I write return to sender and pop it back.
Just before Ivy was born i had to send away a baliff.

Thanks for your help ladies.. I feel better now lol still checking my credit just in case though! Those who have had baliffs turn up what do you say.. I'm afraid they won't believe me if they do turn up! Thanks again! Xx

I wouldn't worry to much Hun,I still get letters from the previous tenants and I've been here 3 years I just bin them now x

I informed him they had moved and offered him ID and my tenacy agreement.

I get all sorts of post I just bin it, had bailiffs round too for previous occupants
