Post baby bleeding.

24 days after baby born. And having random ridiculous gushes of blood. Today I had a thinner pad on ,a poise one to be exact. And arrived at a party and got out of car to just gush , gush, gush. I thought for sure it was about to run out. Soaked it through. Yuck.

At 24 days. Why does happen. Freaks me out. Wondering if 24 days out. I did have a beer and excedrh

This happened to me at 1, 4, and 6 weeks pp with both of my boys. It would last for the day, ridiculous amounts of blood pouring out (especially when I went to the loo) then slowly taper off. Scared the poop out of me every time! No idea why, and this is probably not much help but wanted you to know you aren't alone.

Do you have any other symptoms? Any tenderness, fever? As long as you aren't filling a pad an hour then you should be ok but don't hesitate to contact your HV or midwife to ask about it.

I did call last time it happened. Earlier in the week. Said about pad an hour. But it's just so weird , and when you call I feel like they blowing me off. But I suppose it is normal. Mine happens random times. Not
On the potty. One day I was sitting. Yesterday got out of car. Just feels like hemorrhage, well it is like that. And so bright red it freaks me out. It just needs to be done with. Lol

Yeah, I totally know what you're talking about. I got brushed off too after calling an obgyn who was on call at the hospital. I also got those terrorizing gushes you speak of, often upon standing (assuming blood pools and then is released when you move).

The wound that is healing inside of you is roughly the size of a dinner plate-it's BIG! All women are different. Hope it slows down for you soon.

After having ds2 I had this happen to whilst I was still under midwife care so baby was less than 10 days old. I freaked out because it didn't happen with ds1 but the midwife wasn't interested so I'm guessing it's normal. With ds3 I didn't get my period back until 12 weeks pp and then had lots of days where this happened. Apart from being scary I find I'm scared to leave the house in case I can't get to a toilet to change my pad in time

Guess it's the normal. Lol. Got to the party the other day and never met these people. And I knew from a few days earlier the mess I had upon taking my pants down. I thought for sure i was gonna drop blood all over floor. I managed to keep it clean. Awful though.

I think that can be normal as long as it isnt a constant gush. When we sit/lie down, our uterus' fills with blood because it can't get out as easily. Then it just gushes upon standing. If you have constant gushing, then I would be concerned. But it does not sound like you do.
I am 12 days pp and have blood flow that comes and goes. I get concerned sometimes too as most things say that within a few days, the bright red blood is gone. Mine is now a dark red, but sometimes I still get trickles out - although not soaking a pad an hour, so I think this is also normal for some people. Everybody is different - I birthed a 10 lb 6 oz baby vaginally and had a very large placenta, so I would imagine my wounds internally are a little larger than most. Externally, I only had 1 stitch and things look good.
Just keep an eye on your bleeding and if it continues, get a 2nd medical opinion. Never hurts!
