Post partum bleeding.....?

Hiya, bit tmi but can't get to my doctors

I had my son 5 weeks ago on the 14th November and my bleeding was quite heavy, eventually went brown then 2 weeks ago went yellow and stopped last week.

I've had a weeks break but I've started bleeding again a couple of days ago, browny then has went bright red, with clots ( I normally get clots with my periods) and its a dull cramp like I normally get and its quite heavy.

Does this sound like my first period or just a break from postpartum bleeding, I've stil got an infected c section though :/

although I'd check with a doctor I suspect itsa period as similar happened to me....... I'd give the health visitor team a call actually, they're pretty good

Why can't you see a Dr? It could well be your period. Lochia can start again but I wouldn't think it would after a week.

Because its coming up to Christmas there is no prebookable appointments and every time I've phoned for an appointment on the day their fully booked, I think it might be my period. Hits like a tonne of bricks after not having it for so long x

It does sound like your period. The first one can often be rather heavy. As long as you're not soaking through pads within the hour I'm pretty sure you'll be fine but if it increases then call your GP or NHS direct asap.
