post pregnancy belly

I'm finding it hard to buy clothing because my stomach is flat from my belly button up but below my belly button I have a pooch. I can't find a shirt that shits me properly and when I do find a shirt that fits decent it looks funny because at the very bottom my stomach is sticking out. Anyone else having this problem? Any tips on how to hide the pouch? I tried empire waist tops but it just looks weird where the pouch is. Maternity tops are out of the question because even the small ones are to big for me now.
 
I'm still in maternity jeans because normal jeans push the podge upwards! I can't wait to get rid of it :(
 
I'm back into normal tops that are slightly loose and still in maternity jeans, can't wait to hit the gym when he is 6 weeks !
 
I still have the saggy belly too... I try to wear baggy tops !
 
Mine seems to have gone back fine... but I do keep forgetting breakfast and lunch. Naughty.

have you tried maybe a floaty dressy top rather than a shirt?

I dont eat breakfast/lunch.. either. But thats not on purpose, I'm usually not hungry. I need to start though, I'm the type that if I dont eat I gain, if I do I loose (my metabolism only kicks in when I eat regularly :dohh:).
But my stomach is the same way. Poochy only on the bottom. I'm still in maternity pants, but they are falling off of me. I need new pants because my old ones dont fit, I'm like one size bigger than I was :( I need $$ for new pants.. lol.
 
I just wear loose stuff as well. Cotton is my favorite material, so I have lots of stretchy cotton stuff.

I was able to put on my pre-baby jeans yesterday. There were great, as long as I didn't breath, sit or move. I was a bit grossed out by the new muffin top I have. ICK.
 
I'm going on vacation the 4th of July and I already wont be able to wear a swimsuit, now I feel like I won't have any cute tops to wear either :( I've been working out but I know it will probably be a year + until it goes away a bit.
 
i can fit into all my pre pregnancy clothes now but i did notice the other day i had these cream linen trousers on and it kinda stuck out just above my bits as i have a little bump there just above my c section scar :hissy: and some of my jeans feel a bit tight there but cos i had a section im still sore inside too so i cant have anything that feels tight so theres a few jeans i wont wear untill my soreness has gone xx
 
Go for a longer top and invest in some magic pants lol. I wear longer tops and find that they cover my belly quite well.
 
I haven't tried any of my pre-pregnancy clothes on yet. Because i know that there's no chance in hell they will fit.

I am pleased overall with how my body is though, needs some work on it but it is not irreparable. I was so worried in pregnancy that i would be hideously fat once i'd had my baby and i'm not really. Just flabby.

I will brave my pre-pregnancy clothes after my 6 week check.

I'm like Amy, its not as bad as I thought it would be. Ok so I can't fit into any of my pre-pregnancy pants due to my thighs and butt being bigger than before, but my belly is looking good considering I only gave birth 3 weeks ago.

I was naughty and went shopping on Saturday. Bought a pair of strectch jeans which are just slightly tight for me now but still very comfortable and I bought a nice casual top that is slightly longer than most of the ones I have. Made me feel SO much better to not wear my maternity jeans for a day!!!

Oh and those people who mentioned not eating lunch, are you breastfeeding? I find if I don't eat enough at lunch time then I don't produce enough milk to satisfy my boy so now I make sure I eat a decent lunch everyday even if it means making it while holding him.
 
I am breastfeeding. I just keep forgetting to eat or not having time. Its silly really. ive managed 3 whole meals today though. Woo.
