Postpartum bleeding/ period after loss

I lost my son on August 13 at 24 weeks due to an incompetent cervix/ PTL PPROM/ infection altogether. After my delivery I bled for about 2 weeks and then for a week had some sort of a brownish/pinkish discharge which I believe is lochia. Thereafter for about a week and a half I was completely dry, no need even for a panty liner.

But day before yesterday I had some sort of discharge again.. thjs time it was fresh red blood but a bit stretchy somewhat like the postpartum bleeding/ discharge. Yesterday there was some dark brown discharge along with fresh red blood. Today it is just fresh red bleeding but light and looks just like a period. Could it actually be my period? I have no severe cramping though.

I want to start TTC soon and met the doctor just yday. But that time it did not look like a period. He asked to call him when I finally have my period as he will be following it up with a detailed u/s and maybe even an HSG. I don't know what to make out. If it is actually my period I need to call him tomorrow. Please help. I am so confused.

I don't know I'm afraid - I would call the doctor and explain what you are experiencing and let them make the call.
