Okay, so I know that for like, really heavy contractions that Tylenol would obviously not do anything! But I am 39 weeks tomorrow and I've been having loose BM's, increased BH and have noticed more goopy discharge (not massive amounts like some people experience but more than normal). Not sure if that means my time is soon or if it's just... my body doing whatever.

I have a headache I'd really love to take a Tylenol for, but I'm worried that if I take the Tylenol it'll dull the early contractions that could possibly alert me that I'm going into labor. Like I said, I know the "oh shit I'm definitely in labor" contractions wouldn't be affected by Tylenol but I'm a FTM and I don't know what early contractions feel like other than people describing it as "period pain" (which... I'd take a Tylenol for! Thus my issue lol) I know that labor could be a long progress but I don't want to dull anything that could help me know things are progressing!

Thoughts? :wacko::dohh:

I'm a second timer and have been having the same issues you mention... My contractions were keeping me from sleeping comfortably (about the same intensity as a bad period) so I took some Tylenol the first night that happened, figuring if it was true labor and continued I would definitely know it...the Tylenol helped, and I'm still here three days (and nights like that) with baby still on board lol. I think you're fine to take the Tylenol; if contractions pick up you WILL notice. :thumbup: hope that helps!

Tylenol helps dull pains, but it's not a miracle drug!! Take it..you'll feel contractions, i promise,lol!

IMO no amount of tylenol could numb even the first contractions I had.
