Pph with first birth, scared about 2nd! Any positive stories?

As title says i had a heamorrhage during the 3rd stage of my first birth, 3rd degree tear which i think was where most of the bleeding came from. I was terrified and passed out twice during the experience. I also had to go into surgery and had 2 transfusions
has anyone had a pph first time around then not had one with their second birth?
It was so traumatic im scared of it happening again!

I had one with my first (due to my uterus not clamping down after birth, I had no tearing). It was a lot of blood, very fast, bp dropped, got very light headed and woozy. There was a bit of a scramble with nurses getting (I want to say it was) pitosin into my IV, near climbing on the table to apply pressure on my belly and then doc made a last ditch effort to (sorry if tmi) insert his hand to get a grip on things manually to save me from going in for emergency surgery. It was scary and I was definitely afraid it would happen with my second then too.

It did, but not nearly as bad because knowing my history they were prepared for the worst. They had the right meds and things were much more under control.

As odd as it sounds, you're actually safer if it's something that has happened to you before as opposed to it coming out of the blue. I'd review your charts with your doc to see if there's anything you can do in the way of prevention, as well as to get a plan in place for a just in case repeat scenario.

With my first I was induced and had an epidural at 4cm and no hemorrhage.
With my 2nd I stayed home most of my labor. I got to the hospital and i was 8cm. i gave birth all natural. Then 5 hours later I hemorrhaged. It was very scary. The worst part of the whole situation now is my OB wont see me because i owe her money and so i asked for my labor and discharge papers from my OB and from the hospital... and get this... there is NO record of my hemorrhage. No record at all of the hemorrhage or the meds that stopped it. No record of how much i bled. and No record of WHY i hemorrhaged.

I want to TTC for number 3 because I would love a girl. But i am petrified now to try for another.
I have read of someone woman who hemorrhage with pregnancies and go on to have 2 more NORMAL pregnancies. So every pregnancy is different. I wish you the best hun
