I've been thinking of getting one but just seen someone go past my window and it really didn't look like it covered the baby very well.do u have one or will u use something else? Xx

i used one with my first son and it was great i suppose it just depends what type of pram you will be using with it ive heard some people on hear say that they will be getting one of those folding canopys instead. Likei say probs just depends on the pran as to what coverage you will get. Ive bought one again so hope it works good with my pram lol x

im gunna get one...... but i have no idea if it will be a gd idea or not.. but i got my sure start grant through, and ive got pretty much everything its just luxuries now.....

Mine came with one, but I'm more likely to use a blanket over the pram to begin with, we have a lovely handmade cellular type one which will be perfect. I'll try out the parasol but I know they can be tricky to angle to keep out the sunlight. If you have the spare ££ then I'd give it a go!

i had an umberella last summer and it was a nightmare. i ve bought a canopy this time and it is so much better.

I liked the umbrella, I had a canopy for the big pram but found the sun would get under it as I couldn't move it's position. With a parasol you need to angle it to the position you need, it can be a pain sometimes I suppose. A blanket pegged over the pram works quite well but then you can't see the baby.

I have a loola and it is a great parasol that attatches to it. You can bend it to suit.

I think they are well worth it but obviously pointless unless you angle them to keep the sun off the baby!

Lx

I had one and it was a bit useless, you constantly had to move it and it never stayed in the right position.

We have one and the only time we have used it was when Bobby was 7 months old and we went abroad for a holiday we used the umbrella whilst he was sleeping to keep him well out of the sun! We never used it while we were going along as we found you were forever changing the position of it xxx

i have always used a sun umbrella. Not to keep the sun off baby altogether but to keep it out of baby's eyes. I didnt find i had to switch positions too much with it but i've always had prams with large hoods attatched to them so that was a great help. I had a canopy but it was a nightmare when i folded up the pram to get on the bus, a parasol is way more compact. But i found living in the lovely rainy country of wales i used the raincover more lol!! Its down to personal preferance really. I didnt feel 100% happy going out in the sun without a parasol, the rude comments from know it alls didnt help.

Mine was a godsend with my son has he hated the sun in his eyes, still does. I feel really sorry for babies when I see the sun full pelt on them,it also protects them from UV. Worth investing in a good one though I found the cheap one I had wasn't so good.
