Hey im being tested for oc atm and at one my routine appointments i asked her if flashy lights are part of oc. She said they wernt and did a urine sample. Ther was a little protein in she said and im already on blood pressure meds so im guessing that cant be used. Im only 28 weeks so didnt think you could even start to get it yet??

I was a little confused what OC was. Pree can happen anytime after 20 weeks and sometimes before but that is really rare. How have your BP's been. Did you do a 24 hours urine or run any lab work to check for HELLP? The warning signs of Pree are swelling, high bp, protein in urine, left stomach pain, visual disturbance, headaches, and heartburn. Make sure and go back to the dr if you have any of this. Pree can move really fast. I was disagnosed but had it a little before 31 weeks and had my baby at 32 weeks.

I don't know what OC is but visual disturbances like seeing spots or flashing is a potential symptom, so is protein in urine. To be honest I'd get a second opinion - give the hospital triage number a call and ask them. It's what they're there for. Don't wait, if it is pre-e it can take hold quickly, call them now and ask for guidance.
This doesn't mean you DO have pre-e, and even if you do mild cases can usually managed with meds and rest to keep the pregnancy going to full term or close as possible. So please don't panic but please do call them - the key to fighting pre-e is early diagnosis.
