So i was diagnosed at 6 weeks pp with my first as having high blood pressure( did not have high bp during pregnancy) my gp wants me to stop my bp meds i take 30mg 1 a day of nipifederine has anyone else been told to stop all bp meds while pregnant. Im concerned i could end up with pre-e

I also have pre-existing hbp but my doctor switched my meds. I take methyldopa, which is supposedly safer than Tylenol even. Maybe you could ask about switching? It seems dangerous to come off a medication that's helping and that could cause serious complications to your little one without it.

I had high BP since having my daughter I was on amalodipine before I went to my gp he changed me to labetalol 200mg after a few weeks I was dropped to 150mg and then again to 100mg as I was getting dizzy from it dropping to low. I was also put on asprin as I had pre e last time. My BP has been more stable since being pregnant than before. Just keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't start rising! X
