Predictable old facebook!

Yep another BFP announcement, I saw this one coming from a mile off. My friend has been posting statuses for about two weeks complaining about how ill she is and how sick she feels, I have seen this happen SO many times that I think I know they're pregnant before they do. Must be nice to be in the TWW without even knowing! She is a lovely friend, so I'm not upset I just find it funny how I already knew she was pregnant.

Does anybody else see this happen? Happened at least 4-5 times now on my FB.

it happens all the time on mine too..when your ttc i think you can pick out subtle status' like that! x

oh geez, i see it all the time too! it's like im a good luck charm to everyone around me to get pregnant! it's a tough balance between excitement for them and sadness that its not you.

the part that really gets me is when someone pregnant (especially a friend who knows how hard we've been trying) has the nerve to say that they are sick of being pregnant. i blame it on the hormones, complain to my hubby and take a mental note not to ever be that girl when it happens for us again!

It happens on my facebook at least once a week, To be honest everytime I see a new scan pic I feel like deleting that person because I know for the next few months all it will be off them is updated bump pics and new scan pics...

I think you can detect pregnancy before they do sometimes based on their statuses! I had one friend who seemed kind of annoyed with the world all of a sudden and she kept complaining in statuses about how tired she was, and I just knew she was pregnant. Funny

When I had FB, it was a ton of announcements at once. It just got to me, so I had to delete it. No more logging on to see who's pregnant!

I've started hiding people who are pregnant or I know are trying from my feed. Actually when I click the button to hide them from my feed I get a little bit of enjoyment out of it almost a maniacal little chuckle to myself. Hey, we all gotta cope somehow!

ha ha hopinandprayn - thats exactly what i do, as soon as i see the top of the scan picture, before scrolling down, i immediately hide all their facebook updates, or delete them also doing a crazy laugh almost hysteria to myself !

I get so annoyed with mothers that over share.. you know, the ones that have their profile pic, timeline banner and status all related to baby? When did this attitude become acceptable to become Mommy Diva's? It's annoying and obnoxious. I've had this view even before TTC

I hate that too, it's way over the top. DF asked me if I am going to post everything on FB when I get pregnant, I was offended! He knows me better than that, anything personal will be shown to close family and friends only. I'm not one for posting about how ill I get either, when I'm sick I don't have the energy to go on FB! I can't seem to get over the fact that people will happily tell everyone they've spent the morning puking...nice!

This may sound biggot of me but I wish we still had the mentality of the 1950's where pregnancy was not something to be discussed and was not considered beautiful. In fact women tried to hide their bumps back in the day. Not saying we should go back to that far of an extent, women should be aloud to discuss it..but when you're spreading aroudn news about your bodily fluids and morning sickness while people are waking up drinking their coffee, it ruins their morning reading about stuff like that. Plus, Having the ultrasound picture as main profile picture really kills your chances of finding old friends. You know, they look you up online possibly a friend you haven't seen in 10-15 years and what do you know, you got passed up on meeting up with an old friend because they couldn't recognize you due to the fact that suddenly you're back in the womb lol
