Preemie and lactose intolerant?

Hi ladies! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced lactose intolerance with their preemie? Apparently the enzymes that digest lactose in our food develop near the end of the third trimester, so preemies are at a higher risk of secondary lactose intolerance. Also, one of my girls had bowel surgery, which increases the risk.

I ask because my Nora has had pretty much every hallmark symptom of lactose intolerance (especially the bloating!), and I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with this.

I wish I could help. I am lactose intolerant, but DS, who was a preemie, is not. I hope you get the answers you need!
