Anyone else pregnant again after having HELLP syndrome in their last pregnancy?

I am terrified of it happening again this time. We had actually planned on not having another child because of what all happened my last pregnancy.... This pregnancy was a bit of a surprise.

My doctor says I will be monitored a lot more closely this time, but that really doesn't make me feel any better.

I had hellp my last pregnancy. So far no def. signs. My platelets dropped to 16,000 my first pregnancy I has high blood pressure and high lived enzymes. This time near the end he has done blood work on me every appointment to check on me. My platelets were dropping every appointment but stopped my last. He said they're still well over 100,000 tho which is good. ( he won't tell me the exact number so I don't worry.). A few times my blood pressure has been right at high. Mostly my top number will hit the low 140s every no and then. And my blood work says my liver is doing ok so far. I've been very paranoid this pregnancy. But it feels so much better that the dr. Had been keeping a much closed look on me.

Sorry for the typos. I'm on my phone

Hiya, I had HELLP in my last preg aswell. I am being monitored more closely and having growth scans every 3-4 wks after 20wks to make sure baby ok. Been fine so far, have seen a consultant and am taking 75mg aspirin daily throughout pregnancy. I am not too worried, all they can do is keep me going as long as poss and have been told may need another c-section. I would try not to worry as stressing yourself wont do any good. Speak to your midwife about your concerns x x:hugs:

Hi - I am preg with my 2nd child now after having HELLP develop at term with my 1st. I was 40w1d when my true symptoms showed last time, 40w3d when I went to the hospital in extreme pain and wound up with a diagnosis and an emergency c-section. I am worried because of the variance in things I've read on HELLP showing so many different percentages for risk for developing HELLP or pre-eclampsia in subsequent pregnancies. I am very early pg now, not even sure of due date because they believe I ovulated late based on not getting a positive hpt til 6w1d past LMP, but I have my first scan 11/7 and my OB physical that day, so hopefully I will know my due date then. I was told while doing my bloodwork that I would be considered high risk now, but I'm not sure what that involves as far as extra visits/scans and what not.

Any more info any of you all have on pregnancy after HELLP would be great!
