Hello ladies,

Just wondering if anyone has any great pregnancy books they couldn't live without?

I'd really love a decent book or two to help me know what to expect each week and don't want to waste money :nope:

Any advice greatly appreciated

I'm reading the best friends guide to pregnancy. What the drs won't tell you by Vicki Iovine. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm relating to the book so much. I've read loads of different ones and this is one I can't put down.

Oh wow thank you, I'll see if I can get it on amazon

As a funny interesting read pregnancy sucks is great. It is broken down by month and it is a womens journey or why she decided to only have one child. Very funny, good read.

Pregnancy 411 is also good. Answers LOADS of questions and is very informative. I pick it up over and over again.

Just looking at it on line at amazon and it looks really good, great price too.

I LOVE this book! Me and DH read it together every few days:
The Pregnancy Countdown Book
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1594740879

This one is also fun and funny!
Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth
https://www.amazon.com/Belly-Laughs...IW/ref=dp_kinw_strp_1?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2

Another great one:
The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy
https://www.amazon.com/Girlfriends-...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1316571249&sr=1-1

I like
What to expect when expecting.
https://www.amazon.com/What-Expect-...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1316573154&sr=1-1
and i also like
The happiest baby on the block(this one is amazing, teaches you how to keep the baby happy after it comes)
https://www.amazon.com/Happiest-Bab...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1316573258&sr=1-1

Also check your hostipals web site. They may offer pregnancy classes to teach you what to expect

I was going to say this book, but you beat me to it! lol

This book is a great read, and funny!

I also have what to expect when expecting, but I've been getting the daily updates from whattoexpect.com, and I've heard the book tends to get some very worried! lol

I've also heard, as a previous poster said, The Happiest Baby on the Block is a must-read! :)

Oh fantastic stuff, I will go and check out all the recommendations, thank you so much ladies.

I swear by the Pregnancy Bible it's so informative and shows you how your baby is developing week by week as well as a hell of a lot of other info like after they are born, how conception happens (well we all know really) :haha:

But I'm constantly opening it every day to read up on things, I would highly reccomend

Jokerette already mentioned this, but I'd recommend "A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy."

It's more light-hearted than the more informational books, which are great, but can be rather dry or boring sometimes. This book is funny, and makes you want to keep reading!
