pregnancy in unknown location!!!... new to forum x

Thanks for your reply.. I should have ovulated around the 8th and what with implantation I might only be around 2+ weeks. They haven't ruled anything out.. I just hate this waiting game.. I'm trying to think of other things but can't. Was hoping someone had a success storey that started out like mine x

this early most people dont see anything....i wonder why they didnt say anything like that to you

Subscribing so I know what happens. I had my lap to remove the twin one week ago. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you or any questions I can answer.

Hi ladies, just wanted to update you on x

Went in at 8am on Wednesday, ended up waiting till 2.30pm Thursday for my op, they tried to convince me not to have it about 4times, saying I would miscarrying it myself. For some reason I knew I wanted and needed my tube removed,... anyway, the morning after my op my surgeon came to see me and told me that it was good that I stuck to my guns because it was leaking blood into my pelvis and would have ruptured had I listened to them and gone home! Crazy stuff.

I've mostly got pain in my shoulders from the gas, but its slowly going.. got bad cramps 2day. Just want to feel normal again, feel ok 1 minute then extremely emotional the next. Bf has been great support even though he doesn't no what to say.

Got a few questions as hospital never told me anything on discharge..

1... when is it ok to have sex again?
2... when is it ok to ttc?
3... when roughly does the bleeding stop? (I no everyone is different but just a rough guide)
4... if you experienced this, when did you return to work?
5.. do you need a follow up appointment at the hospital..

I've only just started to think about all these, and I'm shocked the hospital didn't advise me on any of it x

Sorry if I'm all over the place ladies

Lots of love xxx

Sorry about that....make them also check your progesterone more closely next time not that it was gonna prevent an ectopic but it was too low at the beginning.....a big hug.

1. As for sex again my doctor told me I have to wait at least until I have my stitches removed. That is 24 days so three and a half weeks for me.

2. My doctor wants to look at 2-3 cycles after the tube removal before I consider ttc. This will also give the cauterized area near the uterus time to heal. Good news I am ovulating way earlier than usual. It was always cd17-20 and I got my first positive opk yesterday, just 7 days after my surgery. So the body does know how to get back to business.

3. Bleeding. I bled red for a day or two. It was actually much lighter than before the surgery. The next few days it turned brown, black and grey. This freaked me out so I called the hospital in a panic. They told me it was my body getting rid of the cauterized tissue. After that I stopped bleeding until I had a post surgery complication.

It had been 10 days since I had been able to poop and needed medical intervention. I ended up spotting again for the last three days. Though I think the Thursday and Friday bleeding are because of the straining I did to evacuate. Please if they prescribed a stool softener or laxative for you post surgery take it religiously.

4. As for work at one week there is no way my body is ready. It still hurts to walk and sit upright. Today is my first day wearing pants. They aren't buckled yet and that isn't exactly conducive to a positive work atmosphere. :) I think around two weeks I can go back to light duty work.

5. My follow up at the hospital is on the 26th. I had my tube removed on the second.

I hope that helped. I will also keep what happens with the doctors updated in my journal if you want to compare notes.

:hugs:

I've assumed my stitches will dissolve! :s haven't been told to come back for a follow up appointment. It's all so confusing. Will call the hospital tomorrow and ask if i need to go back. . my bleeding is heavier than before the op.. managed to go to the toilet yesterday and 2day, 2days was awful... sorry if tmi..
Do the hcg levels go straight back to normal? My ovulation sticks was positive when I was pregnant that's why I decided to take a hpt. Will test 1 of my next visit to the loo.. lol. X
I'm dreading work. Everyone knows everything they shouldn't x
My emotions are everywhere so I'll give myself some time x

I was at 1500 miu the second if feb, the day they removed the tube. Two days ago I peed on a 25 miu IC and it came back negative. It is different for everyone but after a week your levels should drop somewhat.

Don't worry about tmi. There is not enough info about mcs out there. Don't censor yourself

Hi, just thought I would leave a message as I had a ruptured ectopic in 2003 and had my right Fallopian tube removed. I remember being distraught at the time, thinking I would never be able to conceive with 1 tube. My ectopic was an unplanned pregnancy, I was taking the mini pill at the time. It was another 2 years before I decided to ttc and i conceived within 3 months and had my lovely son :) we decided to ttc again after our wedding in July this year and conceived on the first try. Early scans showed I ovulated from the ovary with no tube. I had thought it was sewn shut but apparently not, and apparently those wee eggs can find their way to the other tube!

I just wanted to share mt story incase you are feeling as I did. It's a horrible thing to go through but I know it would have been much easier at the time if I'd known that my fertility would be ok :)

Take it easy, rest well and allow yourself time to recover. Xx
