Hello ladies :flower:

Just quickly popping in from 1st tri, am going to be moving over in a few days as it's almost time now.

I was just wondering if any of you in this section use a pregnancy pillow?

I usually sleep on my side with my leg hooked over the top but I am finding it increasingly uncomfortable as my belly is getting harder and harder. I was thinking of getting a regnancy pillow to try and make myself more comfortable.

If you use one what kind is it? A full length one or one of the wedge things you can get? Any ideas on the best place to buy them welcomed too.

Am really looking forward to joining you all soon :)

Hiya:D I got a full sized pregnancy pillow back when I first got preg and its been a god send this past month..congrats and see you when you move over:flower:

Hiya - I bought a second hand dream Genii from ebay for £20 - just waiting for a new pillowcase to be delivered so I can use it properly! I had a quick try and it is very comfy!

I've got a dream genii ive NEVER used it ... wouldnt bother!

Buy a cheap one for about 10 or 15 pounds dream geniis are rubbish not much padding at all infact its been slung on the floor LOL. Waste of 40 pounds! x

I'm naturally a tummy sleeper, so I was really uncomfortable until I bought a bolster pillow. Didn't bother investing in an expensive pregnancy branded pillow, just picked mine up for £15 from Dunelm. It's also very nice to rest the bump on, especially now I'm kicked most nights!

i can't sleep on my side due to medical reasons... i do however have a bad back... so i've got a v shaped pillow nd i use it to support my back on a night... nd when seated durin the day xx

Have to say, i've just listed my dream genie on ebay, i found it wasn't comfortable at all and just took up far too much room in the bed, poor hubby was shunted right to the edge, the only comfy bit was the pillow bit that goes between your legs but i've realised i could have done that with any old pillow in the first place and saved myself £45 in the process!

We bought the mothercare one and once i was done being pregnant and all, we could use it as a large pillow under our own head pillows

i got a full length one from argos and i love it!!! im sure it was only like £20 its amazing!! xx

I use the summer infant body pillow..I love it..because I can sleep in so many different positions, side, back, and belly if I wanted to..but dont really do the belly one. I can also sleep with it the opposite way and it gives me other options. I like it and 40 quid really isnt that much money for a pillow. All our other pillows on the bed are temperpedic as well as the mattress so we like our confy sleeping!! hahaha

Thank you all for your replies so far.

I was thinking of something like this https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MATERNITY-PR...ternity_Pregnancy_MJ&var=&hash=item9757700e60

Not sure if it might be too big though

The pillow I've got is 5 foot long. It's a nice length cos it goes right from your head to between you knees (and probably further if you're under 6foot tall!) Mine's not quite as thick as the one on ebay, and that's probably my biggest criticism of the one I've got. If you've got room for that pillow in your bed, it looks lovely! :)

Hi

Yes, I use pregnancy pillow and its very comfy. I bought mine from razarazai (type it in google and you'll find it). Very good quality and reliable. I even got a free cover and with free delivery.

I wouldn't say it's too big. Mine is about 4.5ft and I could do with it being a bit longer so I could use it for my head and between my legs at the same time. WIth my 1st 2 pregnancies I didn't have one, this time I managed to get one from freecycle and I LOVE IT! I have the same problem as you, my tummy is just too hard and it's too uncomfy. Pop the pillow between your legs and it's fantastic! I wish I had one before. They are pretty big though so your OH may get squished to the very edge of the bed ;)

I have a DreamGenii - I couldn't be without it now! It really helped my sleep issues and I don't lose it in my sleep like I did a normal pillow. If you shop around you can get DreamGeniis cheaper, I paid £30 odd pounds for mine and it was brand new but secondhand ones can be found cheaper.

I found Dreamgenii to be extremely good whilst pregnant. It gave me support in all the right places and was comforting as I wrapped it around me. Also it made a great breastfeeding support pillow so I really think it is worth the money.

Another dream genie fan here I loveeeee it. and actually sleep at night now

i have a snoggle from babies r us its great but hubby hates it- first night he said it took up to much room but it doesn't he's just a big bloke who takes up most of the bed- things will get interesting as i get bigger i think!! hehehehe :)
