Pregnant after June Blighted Ovum and I am 40

Ladies, Newly PREG yet again but feeling very scared and lost!

I have no pregnancy symptoms other than sore bbs and emotions and that is not like me. The only time I was not nauseus was with my blighted ovum so my fear is that it is happening again. I had a urine test at clinic to confirm pregnancy but my first apptment is not until jan 9, I am scared and not excited anymore. They prob will not even do a scan until second appointment. In the mean time, I feel blighted yet again! I truly in my heart do! Something tells me instinctively I am carrying yet again, an empty sac. A woman just knows! I know my body when its preggo!

I usually get a watery mouth, nausea, and stabbing cramps here and there. this is not happening, just like my last blighted ovum. I am going nuts.

Same thing for me, but in May. I have the same absence of major symptoms this time as well. I just feel hungry all the time, the same as last time. I am 4+4 today. I thought I was having some nausea for a few days, but I haven't felt it for three days now. I've never been pregnant before the blighted ovum, so I don't know what symptoms I would feel in a normal pregnancy, though either.

How far were you when you found out you had a blighted ovum? I was right at 12 weeks. It seems like girls who have two in a row have them at the same time as they had the first one. That really scares me because I almost bled to death, as the placenta was a good size. I have state health insurance, so you have to be dying to get more than pain relief for a miscarriage in Oregon. To be really honest, I lied to the doctors about how far along I was so they would have to do a dating scan! I told them I hadn't had my period in two months, as it was never normal after the miscarriage! It worked! I should have a dating scan well before the standard 12 week scan. Score!

I was 6 wks and 4 days then went back at 8 wkd and no baby sac was tiny. Im prob going tolie and try to get as n early scan at local hospital tomorrow, i have state ins too! Im 5 wks will they be able to see it if its there?

The fetus itself will be very hard to see now, so don't be discouraged if/when they don't find it. Especially if they are not willing to charge the state for a transvaginal ultrasound. They should be able to see the gestational sac and the yolk sac though, and measure those and be able to tell if they are the correct shape.

Keep in mind, they can tell if you have or haven't been bleeding/spotting recently, so be careful about what you include in your story! Futhermore, if the story is about a threatened pregnancy at less than 6 weeks, they feel you can safely miscarry at home with little complication, and may not scan at all. After 6-9 weeks, there is some concern about incomplete placenta loss leading to bleed-out or infection, or at least there is *supposed* to be concern about it.

thanks Kate I may go try my luck I will not mention spotting, only cramping. I am not feeling any sickness or nausea and that worries me as i GET SICK RIGHT AWAY in fact, hyperemesis but with blighted ovum no nausea and same now. not even a hint. You?? I am convinced this is an empty sac. Im not even tired and usually when preg I cannot stay awake! : ( I am already full of gloom. Sorry!
