pregnant after leetz?

Hi all. I am currently almost 14 weeks pregnant following my first round of IVF. 2 years ago I had leetz treatment for cin 3 and am now reading horror stories on the internet about disastrous pregnancies following treatment. My midwife didnt seem concerned and I am seeing a consultant later in the month due to complications when having my daughter almost 9 years ago.
Does anyone have any experience of this as ive terrified myself and now worried about pre term labour.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant after having a LEEP 10 months ago due to CIN 2. I've also read these stories on the net but I've also read some that have said they carried full term and had normal vaginal births so I'm trying to keep an open mind until I see the consultant at 20 weeks.

I know how you feel but try not to panic until you speak to a professional and probably best to stop googling it, I have!

I had lletz done in July 13 this pregnancy was my 3rd round of ivf !!

My midwife referred me for my cervix checking at 16 weeks the consultant said I didn't need it only if u had 2 procedures !

I expressed my concern especially as it's ivf makes you more neurotic !!! They booked me in at 18 weeks and had my cervix checked it was 9.4cm very good !! And they will check again at my scan on Friday !!! Xxx

I had lletz and am being referred to consultant as a precaution.
Nothing was ever discussed along the lines of affecting future pregnancy when I had it done so I'm hoping that it's only with multiple treatments.

It's also depend how's much they take off !! My lettz for cin 3 but they only took a Shallow bit if your report says deep lettz then they check your cervix well that's what consultant said xxx

I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with 2nd child and have had the leetz treatment twice, I have an appointment to get my cervix checked next week, when I was having my daughter I had the same checks( every 4 weeks from 16 weeks) as they thought I was at risk of pre term labour, I was fine and carried my daughter to 41 weeks

Hi ladies I know this is an old thread..hope all is well with bumps

I had a LLETZ on 10th July...had watery discharge for a week,heavy bleeding for a week and this last week has been brown spotting, well AF was actually due when iv had the brown spotting, I'm not pregnant and still no AF.
Is it possible that the heavy bleeding I had was AF? Iv read that a LLETZ can make your AF early/late heavy and painful.
Did anyone else experience this? If so what was your next AF like,for example I'm a 30day cycle, so would I count my next AF to be due from when I was bleeding or do I count it from when AF was actually due?? Sorry for the essay but I'm so confused and stressed as iv only just settled down after having the implant removed.

If I remember Hun I had red bleeding it turned brown with bits it where it must off been healing then went red again which was AF !

It depends where abouts in your cycle you was when u had it !

Some people say it can mess with AF !
I suppose it could but not too sure xxxx

It totally messed with my af, I was on when I had it done it stopped dead afterwards and didn't restart for ages. I only had a bit of Brown bleeding after the lletz.
I miscarried in February and am now pregnant again with my first consultant appointment on Wednesday, ladies what was involved in your appointment?

Hi Hun, I had a lletz 1 year ago and I have had some early shortening of the cervix. Because the obstetrician knew about my surgery, they kept a close eye on me. My cervix started to shorten at 22 weeks and I was put on progesterone. It has now lengthened and I am on the progesterone until 34 weeks I think.
So far all good
On the flip side, many people have no issues at all after a lletz. Just take control of your care xxx

Is it becoz of your letz ?

My consultant did an internal with her hand too check cervix etc and I had a scan at 18 week & 21 weeks too check length !

I shud off had earlier scan than 18 week but they messed up! Xxx

Also my cervix was extremely long and. Closed
I was then worried about cervical stentosis ! Which is when it fuses closed coz of surgery ! But I have had my baby boy 1 month ago and my cervix dialated okay x

Yep because of the lletz (although the doctor performing it said it would not have any effect on future pregnancy) xx

I was on CD16 when I had the LLETZ done, AF was due cd30.
Lots of watery cm first week
Bleeding started on cd23
Lasted around 6 days and now it's just the odd spotting with the black/brown bits.
I was also told 1 LLETZ procedure would not have any affect on pregnancies.

Hope all settles down as we are TTC...totally forgot about this year being my smear tests lol. Bad timing eh?
Did everyone fall pregnant okay after the LLETZ?

I was doing Ivf Hun anyway that's why I had a smear thank god !! As I was only 20 !!! And had cin 3 !!!! Xxx

I've fallen pregnant very easily since lletz, 1 accident and 1 planned conceived first cycle xx

Oh god! If u had waited till 25 god knows how far it would of gone.
I think they should drop the age for smear tests,I know off two girls who have passed away at age 19 and 20 because they had cervical cancer.
