Pregnant After Loss

Hi all. I just found out that I am pregnant with our second child. We lost our first child a few years ago to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It has been a very rough few years, and God is the only reason I made it through. I've been through pregnancy before, so I have a general idea of what to expect. I'm mostly here for support while we finally move on. We could never replace the child we lost, but our new baby will fill the void she left behind. I'm also a SIDS awareness activist, and hope that I can support others so that no one ever goes through what we have.

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes and warm wishes. I've been doing okay emotionally with this pregnancy. I am an optimistic person and I believe that if I leave it in God's hands, it will all work out. I also believe that I lost my first child for a reason, but even though I don't know the reason, nor understand why, God knows and He has a plan for me. Luckily, I haven't gone into freak-out mode like I have read a lot of women do when expecting after SIDS... how they become convinced that it will happen again. I'm only about 6-7 weeks pregnant, so that may happen later, but for now, I'm just eating healthy and praying.
