Hi ladies,

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and looking for some advice from you ladies. I miscarried in April at 6w5days after spotting every day throughout. I am pregnant again, been brown spotting on and off. Had bloods checked last week and this week. Last week hcg 36 this week 710, happy with that. Progesterone was 51nmol/ml last week now 41nmol/ml this week.

GP and specialist refuse to put me on progesterone supplements because of side effects.

What do you think ladies, am I headed back down that awful road again? Anyone had a similar experience no matter what the outcome I'd like to know please.

Thanks x

I'm sorry, I have no answers for you. Just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world.

I wish I could help too, but this time round I haven't even had my bloods checked. I have an early scan at 7+4 and I am hoping to get reassurance there. If you are really concerned go and see your health care provider, hopefully they will have more advice.

i also had a miscarriage (last april tho) at about 6w5d and we were devistated... so this time around (BFP feb 1st) i was sooooo worried about every little thing.. i called my OBGYN to see if i needed extra labs at first and nope.. treated me like i never even had 1 miscarriage.. so i guess that was OK.. but now at almost 26 weeks.. that first trimester is the hardest.. so much to worry about and think about... just hang in there and try to enjoy it... i know its hard!!!

Your progesterone looks good - it can fluctuate - so based on that I don't think you are on the same track as your last pg - obviously don't know what caused your mc and if the same is poss again but your progesterone looks good :)

It is good you are under the care of a specialist - are they monitoring you more closely - as MrsJo says - an early scan might reassure you.

(((Hugs))) your hcg and progesterone both looks good, progesterone is going to fluctuate up and down, even 41 is an awesome number (many doctors don't put people on supplements unless their number is below 10-15). That being said, I don't understand what they're saying about side effects, progesterone supplementing doesn't have negative side effects during pregnancy from what I know, many people are getting it..but from your numbers you don't sound like you need it :) Good luck and wishing all the best for you!

I just had a miscarriage an everything seemed fine I had some brown spotting to.Have them check your thyroid level when I got mine check it was to late.My MC was due to a underactive thyroid.I wish you luck! I f you still are having symptoms you should still be fine.AN most important RELAX. ::hugs::
