Pregnant from IUI? How many trys? Size of follie(s)?

Hello Ladies :wave:,

I'm visiting from the TTC forums because I'd love if anyone who has gotten pregnant from IUI could answer a few questions for me:
- How many IUIs did it take before you got pregnant?
- How many mature follicles did you have the month you got pregnant?
- What were the sizes of the follicles?

Any info is very much appreciated

21 mm (I had a few ~17mm on the right and one on the left which was 21)

also had the hcg trigger and was on letrozole

Hi,

My 3rd iui was successful, I was Unmedicated so I only had 1 mature follicle, it was 17mm when I triggered and I had iui 31 hours after trigger.

I didn't do IUI, but we had timed intercourse using injectibles and ovidrel to trigger. I have done IVF in the past, which never took.

For my first cycle of injectibles + intercourse I had 4 lead follicles about 16mm and triggered. I have PCOS and started to hyperstim though, so my cycle was about to be cancelled or I could try to trigger and hope that I didn't get too many multiples. 16mm is a little early to stim (my RE said it usually is about 18mm to trigger) but since I was OHSS my follies were growing faster than normal.

Lucky for us we got a BFP 12DPO! This is the first time I have been pregnant. Just to think we spent so many thousands $ on IVF and a simpler method worked!

1st IUI 150 mg clomid CD3-7 no trigger and only 1.5 million sperm post wash. Positive HPT 11DPIUI/O. Dr didn't monitor follicles due to cost.

Thank you, everyone. As you know, the toughest part of TTC is having little control over your ability to conceive. Hearing of your experiences helps me to feel like I have a little more understanding of what to expect.

Hi there....tycoon for 5 yrs and 5 iui 's finally bfp....
On clomid from day 3 -5 , 2 follies 20,21 mm, hcg trigger on day 15, iui done on day 17 , took progesterone pills for 15 days and day 35 BFP....

16 and 18mm (they were measured on my day 12 scan, but not measured after that so I have no idea how large they were on the day of the IUI. For all intents and purpose I could have only ovulated 1 follie).
no trigger, just relied on LH surge.
got my BFP 11dpiui.
DH had 400million sperm post wash.
Did IUI after 5 failed rounds of clomid.
RE deemed us unexplained fertility.

Hubby Post-Sperm Wash was like 35 million
We did 2.5mg of Femara (CD3-7) & Ovidrel trigger shot - IUI 36 hours after
Very light BFP on 11dpo; true BFP on 12dpo
Did IUI after 4 rounds of failed Clomid.
