I've also just found out I'm pregnant and have an 8yr old. I'm so worried as she's always said she doesn't want a sibling quite enjoys being an only!
Terrified of going back to the baby stage again life is so easy right now compared to the baby stages but i guess who wants to coast through life. So much to gain x

I’m hoping to be here soon. My dd is 5. Honestly, dd has been way more difficult than I ever anticipated. Now, at 5, she is so much easier. A smaller age gap would have been far harder as there have been times when I’ve felt like I can’t cope with 1 never mind 2. And I’m a very maternal person!
I’m also glad of the big age gap because I was able to focus my attention on dd for 5 years. She’s getting more independent now, so I don’t feel like a new kid would steal attention away from her as she’s now capable of independent play, helping with basic chores and such.
