pregnant with twins and miscarried one

Ok so I'm 7 weeks and Sunday night had some pretty heavy bleeding and went to the er my dr told me that I was having a miscarriage. I had an ultrasound the next morning and to our surprise there was still a baby with a heartbeat. What I had just experience was a miscarriage of the twin. Has this happened to anyone here or anyone you know? Did they go on to have a safe and normal pregnacy with the remaining baby?

Im sorry about your loss and wishing you all the best with the baby you have. I dont have any experience but have read that this can happen and yes the other baby does continue to grow and be a happy healthy baby.

I also have no experience with this, but wanted to say sorry for your loss. I'm sending lots of positive thoughts your way and hopeing your other little one continues to grow healthy and strong

I've also read many stories similar to yours where the second baby survived.
