Im sure one of you girls has seen one of my nuchal translucency related posts before! But for those who haven't
Im 17 years old, No family history of Downs on either side.
My babys nuchal translucency at 12 weeks was 1:30.
When combined with my age and bloods my risk decreased to 1:1020.
At 14 weeks a follow up scan revealed a normal measurement of 1.1mm and at the 18 week major scan nothing was found wrong with babys heart and no markers for downs were found.

Just wondering if anybody else has had these kind of measurements etc.
And how you ladies think i should be taking these risks.

Im not super worried because we will be keeping this baby no matter what but it does linger in my mind constantly.
We did not get offered an amnio or cvs as the combined risk (1:1020) was too low and we wouldnt of had one anyway.
Just wondering how i can get through the next 18 weeks of my pregnancy without that stressful linger of the possibility! Thanks!

Hello Jadekay, i had a NT fold at 13 weeks of 4mm and with the combined test had a 1 - 8 chance of a down syndrome. I had the CVS and that came back all clear and so have the cardiac scan and both major scans at 18 and 23 weeks. The consultant said i now have as much chance as anyone else of having a healthy baby. Your measurements of 1.3mm and 1.1mm are very low and well within the normal range so it looks like your blood results have increased your risk, however 1 in 1020 seems low risk and they normally only test if your are less than 1 - 150.
I think as you have had the heart scan and annomoly scan and there are no markers combined with your low risk everything will be just fine.

Hope this helps
