Preparing already?

I'm 8 weeks today and at my last appointment the baby's heart rate was up to 150-160. I keep wanting to buy so much stuff and start planning for everything but I'm so scared to jinx something and end up having a miscarriage. Am I just bring ridiculous?

I don't think you're being ridiculous. I didn't buy anything until I was 20 weeks when I found out the sex but it's totally up to you.

Thats not ridiculous. Its an exciting time! I didnt however start buying certain things until 16 weeks, and clothes and such last week, at 20 weeks, to get clothes since i knew she was a she.

no thats not ridiculous i mean you can buy all neutral stuff right now since you dont know the gender and buy gender stuff later if you want Its an exciting time im sure you want to get started as soon as possible

You can stock up on diapers!! And nuetral clothes, bath essentials, anything you want to. Your.not.being ridiculous

I'm only 4 weeks and I find myself looking online at baby stuff! I'm going to try and make myself wait until 12 weeks but it is good to buy some things here and there instead of all at once. But no, I don't think it's rediculous, we're just excited!

I looked but i waited till i was 24 weeks.

Buy when you want though, best to be prepared x

Its hard to resist buying absolutely everything you see trust me I started lookin at everything when i was 4 weeks. Ive had two previous miscarriages so personally I would wait till at least after 12 weeks anyways. I was saving money my entire pregnancy tho and did all my sh opping after 32 weeks which was stressful. Next time I will probablly give in and start once in second tri. But you definately are not being ridiculous hun

Not ridiculous. Personally we didn't buy anything until after everything was given the ok at the 12 week scan, and even then we didn't buy much till after the 20 week scan. But it's a personal thing.

I bought our first few bits around 16 weeks, after that I started getting little bits of clothes (we didn't find out the sex so didn't have as many clothes to buy ) Personally I couldn't have bought anything until after my 12 week scan, but early is better than late! I got my pram at 37 weeks and my moses basket 4 days before LO was born (so 3 days before my due date lmao)
