How many times should I wash and dry 100% cotton fitted diapers to get them as absorbent as possible?

natural fibres benefit of at least 5 washes, if they're for a newborn though you can do 'short wears' so limiting the time they being used for. This way your not continually washing clean nappies.

They are for my 10 month old. I washed and dried them twice yesterday alone and then threw them in with the load of dirty diapers to be washed and dried again.

short daytime wear should be fine - just don't expect hours and hours from them to start with.
