This is a important issue that I think everyone should read about. We are so caught up in our own lives that we wouldn't even consider something like this being true. Slavery in the modern world being ignored along with the abuse/murder of children.

I find it shocking that this still occurs in modern society. It is horrendous and completely inhumane. Something needs to be done to help these people x

This isn't new. I studied it extensively in college. Human Trafficking is deplorable. It happens everywhere.

I think most countries in the world in this present day have an amount of slavery, unfortunately the US and the UK, 2 of the worlds supposed modern free living countries is incredibly rife. Human trafficking is a massive problem within the domestic and sex trade. Is saddens me this kind of thing happens, 100s of years on.
I watched the most distressing Video on sky a few days ago. A female domestic slave in Lebanon was dragged back into a car by her hair, by 2 men after trying a bid for freedom. It's still imprinted on my mind and I just can't believe nobody helped her. The police tracked her by the car reg eventually but she committed suicide in hospital after the rescued her.
It's a vile thought that is just one case in thousands that are happening around the world, so sad.
