What's the earliest you can take a birth control test? My last cycle was 30 days, which would mean that my period should start on Oct. 1st. It's only September 23 (8 days prior) but I tested (because I got my days messed up) and it was a BFN. Could I still be pregnant and just tested too early?

I have mild pinching/cramping on my one side and am nauseous a tired.

It's only my second cycle and so I am fairly sure it's impossible I actually got preggers but I thought I should ask what other thought.

I think it's still possible... I'm hoping the same for myself too. I think it's kind of unusual for it to show up this early (I'm 12 dpo - tested yesterday and got bfn), and this is only my third month but way more "symptoms" (feel a bit sarcastic saying that since I've never been preggo before so could be making it all up) this month than last two where I felt almost nothing. Let's hope...!

If you have a "normal" luteal phase of 14 days, you're only 6dpo so you definitely tested too early. I suggest waiting at least another 5-6 days but 8 would be ideal because that's the end of your 2WW. =)
