Princess Royal Hospital in Farnborough, Kent?

I know this is an older thread, but I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some info about the PRUH.
We're having our first baby there February 2012. I hear that you can only use the Oasis Birth centre if your pregnancy is totally 100% problem free. As our baby has a suspected heart defect I'm worried I won't be allowed to use it. What is the alternative to the birth centre?? I really hope it's not a labout ward with many beds - I've no idea what to expect as we've not been there yet, and now i'm worried!! I was so excited about the chance to use the Oasis birth centre and now I'm not so sure.

When will you know more about the suspected heart defect? You've still got a little way to go but I don't know when you need to decide.

I remember mentioning in one of my ante natal appointments that I wanted to use the birthing suite, and the midwife sent a form up there so they had all my details ready for the day. Your best bet is to discuss it at your next appointment so that it can be discussed.
