Privacy - deleted post but google still showing the post when I enter my name

Hiya,

I noticed the other day that when I type my name into google, it comes up with all my baby and bump stuff (as I posted my name on a thread to allow my bump buddies to search for me on facebook). I don't really like the fact that someone can type in my name and get all the information I posted so I deleted the post with my name it, but google still finds it months later. Is there anything I can do??

Also, could I change my username? I am a bit paranoid now!

We have no control over what google brings up, this is a public forum so anything you post can be seen by anyone with an internet connection, like many other forums.

As for a username change, that needs to be authorised by wobbles and is only granted in certain circumstance.

I just googled my name (Real Name) and not one thing from this forum came up. I think the person would have to know your user name and google that and then the posts would come up. Ok I just saw you posted your real name in a thread maybe that is why. I don't think there is any way to stop that, that is google for you Hope maybe you can get a user name changed if so the posts would stop coming up on Google, but you would have to remember never to post your real name again in a thread.

Could you confirm what your search query is.

'Elanesse' is not unique and certainly BnB is not the first result on Google (far from).

No it's when you type in my name, it all comes up

You need to edit your name from the places you have submitted it and wait for Google to update. It can be days or weeks however usually it is done within a calendar month. It doesn't matter if I remove or edit it the search result won't update any quicker.
