Does anyone know the best success rates for clinics in the South East? I'm in Hampshire/Berkshire/surrey border I suppose.

I was using a clinic and their satellite clinic but I thought I was under the original clinics care. It turns out I get a bfn and the original clinic I chose and paid for re assigned me to their satellite clinic and now I can't get my follow up appointment which I've already paid for unless I go to the satellite which I never chose in the first place - I wanted to see the lady I had my initial consultation with. Despite tears and upset on my OTD being today they won't budge even tho I didn't understand that by having my scans at the satellite but all other treatment at the original clinic that essentially I'm the sattelite clinic's patient and not theirs now. Thanks for telling me! lol
:growlmad:

It's left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm thinking about moving now. Can anyone recommend somewhere with good stats?

my one had 43% chance for under 35 years old and I'm looking for the same if not better.

Sorry i cant advise on the alternative clinics but just wanted to say im sorry your cycle didnt work out this time. All you need is to be messed about by the clinic when you are already feeling raw. Hope you find somewhere new who gets you a BFP!

Hiya

Have you checked the hfea website? They give info on the success rates of all the clinics. i found it really useful. xxxxx

Thanks Angel, yup I cried and hung phone up and no one ever called me back to check I was OK. Very bad.

I'm also considering a mild ivf protocol instead of long protocl traditional icsi. Does anyone know the success rates of mild ivf verses standard ivf?

This Sucks hun,,,, i bet they only transferred you because it was a BFN and they want to keep their rates up!!!! Ask for the complaints procedure!!!!!

mild Ivf means lower dose drugs and less eggs hun.... mild is also used for low responders.... no idea what the difference in rates is and how it could be measured at all as all they give you is BFP per ET...
xxx

Yeh I probably will complain. I've been doing research all night and stats on hfea etc. It all makes depressing reading to be honest and it frightens me to death that we might pay again and it might not work. Do I stick with the same one even tho they're major busy and have treated me badly right at end or do I try someone else?

So hard to decide. Hope your appt goes well tomo brum x

Sorry about what you've been through hun.

I recently got pointed in the direction of the HFEA site (don't know if you've already seen it). It allows you to search for clinics in your area and view their success rates of different pricedures and at different ages. https://www.hfea.gov.uk/932.html

Hope it helps hun xx

Thanks :) I've been on there and its good, just so hard to compare like for like and make sense of it all!!

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work :(

I'm going through CARE.

They have a couple of other clinics but the main clinic for me is Northampton, which is where I have to go for EC and ET. But I have all my scans etc, done at their Saxon Clinic which is a mile down the road from me. My dad did some research (because they're paying for us to go private) and it's supposed to be one of the best in the country. According to their site, their success rate for under 37's is 68.8%. Double the national average. They have a great track record and it might not work for me but looks like we're in with a chance :) Good luck, in what ever you decide :hugs:

Depending on how far you want to travel, The Lister in Chelsea is in the top 3 for the UK x

Agian not sure if you are prepared to go into London, but I've heard good things about the London Womens Clinic. I can't speak from experience yet but we have our 1st appointment there on Tuesday so can always let you know my thoughts later.

Hi Rachelle

How do you know whats in the top three? could you let me know what they are, I'd be interested to see. I've look on the HFEA website but couldn't see a basic chart that lists it.

Good luck with your IVF appointment!

I've always been looking for a top table chart but could never find one!!
