Private group/journal option?

Hi! I brought this up once before when things were hectic, admin-wise, so I thought I'd ask again now that it's calmer.

Would BnB consider having an option to make journals or group threads private to a certain group of users? The way I've seen it done on other forums is that the thread starter invites people via username and then all of those people can access/post.
