Probation

Hi guys in need of some desperate advice so I can stop this stressing! I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my first child, I have been working full time for exactly 6 months with my current employer, it has been a rough road these past 6 months, I have not been trained correctly by my immediate manager, an have been left very confused an stressed during this time, I have even had to make a formal complaint to the general manager of the conpany re workplace harassment an sexual harassment. After all this came to head the general manager sent me up to do 3 days training to try make up for what I've missed out on, usually everyone else gets 3 weeks. Anyway, the general manager has decided to extend my probationary period for another 3 months (9months in total) due to the lack Training that was provided and what I've been through. I understand this how ever I am very concerned that once they find out I'm pregnant they will find a way to cease my employment after the new probationary period is over in 3 months time, I didn't have an letters at the start of employment stating there could be a chane my probationary period could be extended.. Can somebody put my mind at ease an tell me if I should be c

Maybe not tell them until your probation is over? I can't remember when u have to legally sell them. Maybe check this out? Xxx

Sorry you've had a rough time at work. I agree, if it's possible don't tell them until your probation is over. If you're in the uk there's information on the direct.gov website on when you legally have to tell them you're pregnant. Can't remember it off the top of my head but it will be on that website, just google 'pregnant at work' or something similar and I should be one of the links at the top.

I would do your best to hide it with your clothes etc. and then tell them after probation.

You have more rights when you are pregnant and if they attempted to end your employment with no good reason and if you believed it to be related to your pregnancy you would have a good case for sex discrimination.
