I just got a phone call from a nurse at my fertility clinic and she said my progesterone results were 81.1 which was really good! I was just wondering what exactly this means. I know it means I ovulated but does it also mean there is a good chance for pregnancy as well? Does anyone know of a site that has the levels of progesterone on it? I'm not worried about it just more curious than anything.

im not sure of any websites but what ive been told is that anything above 30 means you have ovulated.....when i conceived my dd almost 5 years ago i had the day 21 test done & it was 33 just before i conceived her.....

my level aug 09 was 64.....& then my last level i had done was 168!! but i am now on clomid so itsbound to be higher.....just wish i could conceive!! xx

I don't know the levels, but that is really good!!! Mine was once measured as only a 6!!!

I had mine measured and it was 73.3 and i was on here asking the very same thing... if you search for posts started by me then you can see what others thought.

As it so happens I am now pregnant :) that very same cycle.

This was unmedicated.

I understand that clomid raises it though.

Good luck x

Thanks so much!! I will search your thread!! Oh and congrats!! :happydance:

I just had my level checked today (1 day before an ovulation that was triggered yesterday evening) and it was 1.6. I think that after ovulation it shoots up. Progesterone is needed to support implantation/pregnancy. If progesterone is too low after ovulation, it indicates that you may not be able to support a pregnancy. For example, if you have a short luteal phase (as I do...one of the many lousy things that happens in your late 30s) it means that you produce Progesterone for a shorter period of time....(because the time between ovulation & menstruation is shortened), Which can indicate difficulty in sustaining a pregnancy.

Thanks! Ya according to FF I ovulated on day 16 and I had this test on day 21 so Im pleased it was as high as it was :)
