I'm preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best. My prog. at 23 DPO ish was only 8.33. Dr. said she's happy with anything over 5---I know from all my research she might just be telling me that to give me hope. She doesn't do anything with progesterone supplements, so I'm just wondering if anybody in here made it this far with a low progesterone level and did not take supplements. Thanks for any info!

Honestly I would find a dr to give supplements. I use a NaPro dr to help regulate hormone levels.

I was put on progesterone for having a lvl of 8 at 7dpo my dr wanted to see 15 at 7dpo and that's without pregnancy.

Just my thoughts. Is it possible to sustain with low Lvls, I do think it's possible but not something I would be comfortable doing.

When I found out I was pregnant at a little over 4 weeks, my progesterone was 6. My dr prescribed me progesterone 200mg to insert vaginally. It was the oral capsule not a suppository, I just stuck it in "there" everynight before bed. I'm now 13 weeks and 1 day :) I definitely second finding a dr who will give you those supplements. I don't know why they seem to be so against them :(

I agree with previous posters - find a new Dr or demand supplements. My progesterone was 10.4 around 4 weeks pregnant. My RE wanted anything over 10. I was just barely over that with this pregnancy. I was immediately put on the 200mg progesterone oral supplement to insert vaginally 2x a day. I had low progesterone with my son but not as bad and was still supplemented. It doesn't hurt anything - it can only help. It really makes no sense why they wouldn't prescribe this to you. It's completely harmless.
