Progesterone tablet missing and now bleeding

Okay so I was ready for bed and put my progesterone tablet in and about 10 minutes later got this awful grumbling in my tummy and realized I needed to visit the bathroom.

Thought "oh crap, I'm gonna push it out!"

Proceeded to take care of business then thought I would just check in there to see if it was still in there. I have no idea how fast they melt, but I was only on the toilet for 5-7 mins. No real straining.

I couldn't find it with a quick swipe and so I decided to try one more time and ended up pulling my finger out with bright red on the end of it. Not sure if I poked my cervix or what, but now I am wiping a small amount of reddish brown blood.

Is that bad? And what to do about the missing tablet? Just take it a bit earlier than usual tomorrow and hope for the best? Put another one up there? Or does it melt that fast and the medicine is still up there?

I don't know the real answer but if you genuinely feel like you may have pushed it out, I would just use another.

I feel like I would have felt it pop out and I didn't. So I was just trying to reassure myself that it was still up there by checking and I was super surprised when I didn't feel it.

Any thoughts on the slight bleed? I just poked my cervix, I guess???

I did Google and apparently they melt very quickly??? So maybe it is still okay.

Still freaking out that I made myself bleed though.

Hopefully it was just a poke. I know vaginal progrsterone is prone to cause some spotting.

So I woke up this morning and nothing had come back out while I slept, so I am now thinking it wasn't in there after all. Guess I should call the doctor's office and ask what they want me to do.
