Prolene beads - experiences?

Hi ladies, I'm 6 days post section and although I was told (and also requested) dissolvable stitches, I was given the beads instead. Over the past couple of days it's started feeling very tight and stingy/sore.
The midwife is coming today and I'm going to ask her to check it and see if it might be infected, but I get the feeling the suture might be too tight as the pain is centred around the end of the scar where the beads are.

Did anyone else get any discomfort with the beads?

Hiya,

I had a bead and also experienced extreme tightening by day three to the extent I was screaming in pain when trying to get out of bed. However this is apparently totally normal and when the beads were removed on day 7 the tight pain went instantly and the relief was immense.

Try not to worry, I am sure it will be fine

Unfortunately, it is normal.
I felt like the same after both my sections. I couldn't wait for the mw to remove them. Not long to wait now hun xx
