I have been in slow early labour for a few days now it keeps stopping and starting. I am 2cms (this is my second) im quite thinned out and had bloody show and lost plug. It's also my due date tomorrow.

I'm finding this really hard as the contractions come regularly hurt quite w lot for hours on end and then they stop slowly until I get nothing apart from maybe the odd one every hour or so.

I've had a sweep today and the midwife seemed to think It would help and im hoping it will.

I'm getting really fed up. My daughter was back to back and early labour probably took a day or so but once it was established I was fine. This is taking forever!! And I just want it to start properly and get me established.

Anyone else with stop start long early labours because of back to back baby? How long did it take until you were in established labour?

(I'm also trying all the tricks to get him to turn to a better w position no luck so far)

Hey did you want to post this in 3rd trimester? I can move it there if you want. Sorry no advice though X

My pains started at 4 am on the Monday and I had him at 6:28pm on the Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday the pains came and went, regularly and irregularly. He was also back to back, came out that way too- he got a little stuck but I got him out with no intervention and minimal stitches. I went from 4 cm to 10 cm in less than an hour..proper pains started around 3pm on Wednesday

I had this with DD1. It went on for 3 days then finally proper labour started at 11am on the 4th day. I had her at 00.28 the next morning - she was stubborn and still back to back. Fingers crossed it keeps up next time, i know how frustrating it is xx
