Protocol for low sperm count?

Hey ladies! Looking for some advice here. My DH and I have been going through infertility workup and we recently found out that I'm ovulating normally, but DH's sperm count is 900,000 with poor quality everything across the board- low motility, low morphology.

We're going to the infertility specialist/RE next month and I was just looking for experiences with the same issue or stories if you know of any. In this case, will they suggest IUI/IVF right away, or will they try interventions?

We're both 25 and healthy- he doesn't smoke, wears boxers, already takes a multivitamin and zinc supplement, so I don't necessarily know of what else we could do on our end of things to help his situation out.

I would also be interested to know. My DH has low sperm count below 3 million and we were told that IUI is not possible for us. If I manage to lower my FSH we can qualify for IVF.

What was your CD 3 FSH? Mine was 14 and she said that only meant I was ovulating early. It was like that for two months, and she said it was high but since my CD 21 progesterone was confirming O I was fine. I feel like this is just off, especially since my OPK indicates I O around CD 13 or 14.

My CD 3 FSH were 16, 9, 12.9, 14.3 and the latest one was 8 but I did the test abroad and the NHS wont accept it so will have to do another one. I was told that because they definitely confirmed I ovulated on the cycle before I got my 14.3 it indicated diminished ovarian reserve. I started making lots of small changes to my lifestyle and I think it's working.

I usually ovulate early between CD 11-14 but my FS did not think it was a factor
