Hello ladies! I was wondering, if anyone with PCOS, have concieved off of provera and metformin?! Today I had a Dr.'s appoinment and my Dr. refilled my metformin (500mg) and started me on a 10 day dose of Provera. I asked her about chlomid but she said she didn't want to start chlomid because she didn't want me to end up with more than one baby when trying for the first time haha.. I was also told that I have a mass lining due to not having a period since Feb. 2014  So can someone please help me....any info would be helpful!

Did you conceive with only those two medications?
Will Provera make me gain weight?
Will it regulate my periods?

Kblout13 - I have had to do 2 rounds of provera to force my last two periods. I was having very long cycles and then my period just stopped all together and I wasn't pregnant. This second one I asked for clomid and this is my first cycle with it. You only have a 10% chance of twins with clomid. it has an 80% success rate of forcing ovulation and 40% success rate of pregnancy within two rounds of the medication.

Provera is only fooling your body into thinking you ovulated so that you will have your period. You won't be taking it longer than 10 days and you will not gain weight from it. It raises your progesterone levels, which is what happens naturally when you ovulate, but you won't ovulate from the provera, it is not an ovulation drug.

As for Met, I do not know anything about it as I have not been on it.
